Sketch of the Week – Lake Martin Chapel

Birmingham, Ala. (February 25, 2016) – Here at CMH, we have an office brimful of creativity.  The architects are constantly scheming, calculating, and envisioning new spaces.  With the constant flow of imagination and inspiration within our company, we thought it due time for a new tradition: The Sketch of the Week!

For the first installment, we feature a sketch from Michael O’Kelley.  It depicts a new chapel in Tallapoosa County for a client near Lake Martin.

Alpine, AL Lodge Design

Alpine, Ala. (February 23, 2016) – Throwback photos of a hunting lodge designed in 2008.  The lodge sits on a hilltop overlooking private property adjacent to Selwood Farm in Alpine, Alabama.  The design includes high vaulted ceilings, a big open porch, and large stone fireplace.  The lodge’s open space is perfect for hosting big gatherings.

Residential Work with Myrick, Gurosky & Associates

Birmingham, Ala. (February 19, 2016) – Foundation work has begun on a new house in Vestavia Hills that CMH’s own Michael O’Kelley designed for Myrick Gurosky & Associates. Above is a sneak peek at one of the original concept elevations.

Mayfly 2 Cabin at Cedar Point Lake Martin

Lake Martin, Ala. (February 18, 2016) – CMH is excited to be working on a project at Lake Martin’s Cedar Point development. The Mayfly 2 cabin is spacious with vaulted ceilings, uses natural materials, and is designed for easy living and entertaining. It features a low maintenance landscape as well as a lakeside screened porch and open deck.
